Now I don’t usually fall for the sport luxe trend, but one thing that’s getting me very excited for spring, and that’s not just the increase in temperature, is the wedge trainer. Now you may remember seeing a converse-style heel floating about last year on the high-street, but thanks to Marc Jacobs placing his models in the high-end hi-top on the runway, their back. And this time there’s a price tag.
Ash Cool Suede Strapped Wedge Trainers (£139) at ASOS. Marc by Marc Jacobs 90MM Leather High Sneakers Wedges (£268.48) available to pre-order at luisaviaroma.com, arriving Feb 15th. Isabel Marant Perkins Suede & Leather Wedge Sneakers (£430) at Harvey Nichols. See by Chloe Lace Up Wedge Sneakers (£245.98) at Shopbop.com. These are a little less hi-top a little more girly, so if you’re worried about clunkyness, they’re the pair for you.
My favourite is definitely the Marc by Marc Jacobs booties. I’m hoping Mr Allure will remember my birthday is next month. Fingers crossed!
Are you willing to spend the cash and commit to the covetable trend? Which are your favourite pair?

I love them and it is the only way you will see me wearing tennis shoes in public…LOL. They normally belong to the gym, well in my world that is.
Thank you so much for the post, it was interesting reading.
