For the last of my Spring product reviews I tested two new nail collections by L’Oreal and Filthy Gorgeous.
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Nail Collection
This new collection by L’Oreal introduces 41 new shades in mini pots that have a liquid gel based formula and a patented brush. The flat brush made it super easy to apply the glossy colour quickly and with precision. The varnish is thick and pigmented with strong hues that look great when dry. It lasted for days with no chips. Boudoir Rose was my favourite out of the colours that I tested, but for the coming season I think Marie Antoinette and Parisian Crystal will be the most popular.
Filthy Gorgeous Dirty Pastels Collection
As much as I LOVE the colours and think that the shades are the perfect for this Spring, I have to say that I was disappointed with the varnish itself. It was too gloopy and I had to apply three coats to get the colour even on my nails, which was very difficult with the flimsy little brush. After a few days there were minor chips in the colour and it looked a little messy.
To test out the colours I decided to try as many as I could at once. Leaving me with a sort of strange manicure on a misshapen claw of a hand.
I’m wearing Breeze on my thumb, Boudoir Rose on my index finger, Blancmange on my middle finger, Addictive Plum on my ring finger and Hypnotic Red on my little finger.
