Guerlain Shine Automatique*

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Sometimes you don’t want a colour that too bold or drastic, instead you fancy a slight shade of something with a lot of gloss, and this is exactly what Guerlain’s newest lipstick can do for you.

This hydrating lip shine comes in 12 different shades, from oranges, beige, pinks and reds. The new formula uses crystal pigments that allows the lipsticks to be translucent and glossy, not opaque. The fine texture seeps in so that the lips are moisturised to the max.  They can be worn during the day as they can be subtle, but if you apply a few coats, the shine increases and they look even better. They are the perfect lipsticks for a vintage glam look.

If you get excited over products the same way I do, you’ll be playing with the flick applicator for hours.

Extrait De Rose 262

This is the colour I was drawn to most, it’s a fun and girly bright pink. Here I have applied a few layers to show the strong pigments, but if you only apply one, it can look more subtle and add a bit more ‘pop’ to your beauty look.

Rose Pompon 264

This is a more natural pink, it’s quite subtle but really helps to brighten up my face. If I want to look smart, but still have some colour this is the shade I’ll choose.

 Sous Le Vent 200

Sous Le Vent is from the beige family and is extremely natural looking. It helps to achieve a more polished look. If you pair this sophisticated shade with a dark, smokey eye you end up with a really sexy look. I really recommend you try it.

Guerlian Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shines cost £24.50 and were released only 2 days ago. Available at Harrods, Debenhams and House of Fraser
