I am a victim of fashion and an addict to all things creative. I truly believe that outfits are alive and they express to the world, or street your strutting down, your state of mind. As the new Mens Fashion Editor I want to show you my style, so here is my edit if the Autumn/Winter 2011 catwalk shows and also a little bit off the highstreet.
A seductive detective. The mix of leather denim and suede compliment each other so well. These are all very smart looks without being too “formal” and the hats are such a sick finish. The outfit on the right is my favourite.
I recently stumbled across Rag & Bone and automatically fell in love. I love the mix of tailored plaid and rustic-look leather – a wicked juxtaposition. The fit of these trousers give such amazing movement. As much as I love the silhouette that slim fitted trousers give, they do lack movement.
This is one of my favourite collections from Autumn/Winter 2011. The clean lines and dramatic cuts make such a bold and chic collection. I would love to rock the grey outfit on the left to lectures at University, or something like that.
I couldn’t not make my first post on Notes On Allure with out mentioning one of my biggest obsessions in the fashion industry. When it comes to Alexander McQueen my knees go weak and my heart starts to pound. There’s something about the clothes that give off such an attitude.
To have great style doesn’t mean you have to spend a great deal of money. High street clothing can be as equally effective in giving off the look you want. Here I have chosen items from high-street stores. The coat and corduroys from Topman, shirt from Allsaints, hat and jumper from River Island and the shoes are Kurt Geiger.
